Our rainy Valentine’s Day weekend was full of wedding to do’s that Brian and I have been somewhat putting off until we realized we are only 4 months from our wedding date! Holy cow where did the time go! We did celebrate heart day with a fancy dinner of crab legs, champagne and chocolate truffles at home. 5 star quality. Delicious. No crowds, no crazy prices – just perfect.
On Sunday and Monday we spent most of time starting and finishing our registry. Yup, its almost done. Let me tell you its super fun walking around with that little gun drinking mimosas, but very overwhelming at the same time. We were armed with check lists and must have lists and idea lists, but I still couldnt convince Bri how badly we needed a covered cake plate. There are still a few items we need to add and delete but overall I think we’re pretty set…I think.

My motto was register for everything and anything, especially things you would never buy yourself. People like to get you pieces that are special, rather than the more utilitarian stuff. Get the cake plate woman!

Heck yes, you need a covered cake plate. Unless you are in a family like mine where there is no need to cover a cake, because it is gone shortly after baking!
