Two Things to be Excited About
1. A successful delivery of some tasty treats to a friend’s party on Sunday.
My friend Katherine generously hired me to make cupcakes for her son’s birthday party. Yellow cake with butter cream icing…yum. It was my first time making pumpkin cupcakes, but I was really happy with the way they turned out. I was a bit nervous about delivering them without encountering my usual clumsiness, but luckily I had an excellent helper. Thanks B.
2. Having LEMonade mentioned on another blog besides one of my lovely friends.
I know I’m one of like a hundred…but its still pretty cool.
I’m listed on the fourth line down…

Welcome Sophia Grace Mallory!!
Congratulations to Chris and Steph! Two happy parents of a beautiful baby girl Sophia Grace. She was born Sunday evening weighing 7 lbs. 9 oz. with a full head of wavy brown hair. Steph had a c-section and has had a bit of a rough recovery, but is doing much better this evening. In the words of Chris, “Sophia is super sweet!” and she is perfectly healthy and eating well. We are keeping our fingers crossed that they will be able to go home on Thursday. Oh how I wish I could be there to hug them and kiss baby Sophia. More precious pics to come!
XO,
Aunt Sis
Friday Craftday
Check out the good luck card I had so much fun making for a friend today. She is running the SF Nike Women’s 1/2 marathon this weekend. Yes, that’s the marathon I was supposed to run in too, but had to drop out due to minor stress fracture in my foot….booo! I’ll be there next year for sure. The Team in Training colors are purple and white so it should match perfectly!
Maid Service
I had SO much fun putting these booklets together for each of my bridesmaids. Paper + organization = it doesnt get much better than that! Each booklet contained a thank you note, a rough timeline of events, dress ordering details with fabric swatch and contact info for everyone. I think my favorite part was lining the envelopes. I will never send another plain, boring envelope again! I hope the girls heart them as much as I do and find them useful! Now on to my next project…
Love is in the Air
During an afternoon trip up to the city today, I found myself in the middle of the SF LoveFest. Between the booming techno music, neon wigs and lots of skin…I mean lots. I felt pretty out of place. I was both mesmerized and intrigued with these free spirited peeps. I pushed my way to a front row spot on the street parade along Market and tried my best not to get caught staring. The only thing I’ve experienced that I can compare it to is Mardi Gras…with less vomit and feathers. As I stood there, I realized that between the Debbie Downer ecomony and the drama filled election – it was great to see people having such a good time. I walked away with a big smile on my face, a little more kick in my step and the thought that I HAD to see this again next year. See what a little love can do…
Yes, that’s a naked guy.
If I could have picked any float to be on, it would have been this one….love all the gold. In the words of Rachel Zoe - Thats bananas!
